Ensemble rehearsals

DGK Kollective runs fortnightly rehearsals for players of grade 6 standard and upwards (or equivalent). DGK is a professional ensemble with professional standards. We will do all we can to ensure that all players receive the support they need in order to take part in our concerts. The ongoing quest is to add new repertoire from different genres to add to the possibilities for creating exciting new programmes. DGK covers a broad spectrum of music including Swing, Jazz, Latin, Funk, Blues, RnB, Rock N Roll, incidental music and soundtracks.There is a subscription fee which all players will need to pay by arrangement before taking part in rehearsals.

Strings kollective is an exciting new venture. We are looking for players of grade 6 standard and upwards (or equivalent standard) who would be interested in working towards professional concerts. The first priority is to work on a programme due to be performed in 2022 onwards. This will see strings kollective combine with 17-piece big band, DGkollective in a series of concerts to celebrate a golden age of TV/FILM MUSIC. Beyond that, the aim is to ensure that strings kollective also develops its own programme with a view to future professional concerts. Rehearsals will be typically once every fortnight, though the exact details have yet to be confirmed. There is a subscription fee which all players will need to pay by arrangement before taking part in rehearsals.

Subscription fee: £6.50 per rehearsal for non-professionals; £3.50 per rehearsal for professionals. note: a ‘professional’ is one who solely makes their living from music 24/7 and has professional standards.
